Many things are happening right now attack, Illness…

I am asking all who can make it to night to come and pray –

People need work or work to pick up…

I know of all the other issues all of you are going through – so please come out tonight and we will pray as a body over what is happening in the body.

We might be a small church, but we can pray and there is no more powerful tool to come against the forces pressing on this church then that.

God Bless,

Kurt

Note from Susan: Conclusion of Philippians

November 17th, 2009

Hello All:

This Thursday we will wrap up our study of Philippians.  We will review Chapter 4 that we covered last week and so many missed due to being sick, then finish out 4.  We will also take a look back at the entire book and discuss key verses that spoke to us individually.  The following Thursday is Thanksgiving and the week after that is the Ladies Christmas Luncheon on Saturday.  We will decorate Friday evening before.

Our fellowship and study will then take a break until after the Christmas holidays and resume on January 7th.  We will discuss this Thursday what book we will study next.

It would be wonderful to see everyone and to pray with all of you.  I hope to see you.

Men’s Breakfast: Saturday, October 24

October 19th, 2009

Come and join us this Saturday.

Study Psalm 17

Come to Ruby’s in Laguna Beach, have breakfast (free), and fellowship with the brothers.

Bring some related verses and your testimonies to share.

Psalm 17

Good morning all.  Interesting how this psalm is subtitled a “Prayer of David.”  It very well could have been written when David and his men were “surrounded” by Saul’s army in the Judean Wilderness.  What was David’s main prayer request?

The psalm interestingly shifts with “As for me…” in the last verse.  Like we’ve seen in Psalm 139 these last couple weeks, waking up with God is important to David.  What did David want to wake up to?  Let’s check this out and bring our thoughts to Ruby’s on Saturday morning.

God bless meanwhile!

Eric

Psalms 73:28:  But I’m in the very presence of God - oh, how refreshing it is! I’ve made Lord God my home. God, I’m telling the world what you do!

Men’s Breakfast. Psalm 139: Women are invited (again)

October 8th, 2009

Come and join us this Saturday.

Saturday, October 10 at 8:30 a.m.

Study Psalm 139:1-24.  This time the women are invited.

Come to Ruby’s in Laguna Beach, have breakfast (free), and fellowship with the brothers.

Bring some related verses and your testimonies to share.

Hi all!  This Saturday we’re back on our second and fourth weekend of the month schedule.  So we get Psalm 139 on back to back Saturdays!

Last week we explored some of the psalm’s structure and meaning.  We had a great time, but there’s still so much to check out.  I am intrigued by how David describes God’s perfect knowledge of him, and how He’s always with him.  And I still don’t know why David linked verses 13 – 17 to the previous verses 7 – 12 with the “For You…” in verse 13.  Maybe we can talk about it together.

Some of us focus on the academic, others on the devotional aspects of Psalm 139.  Let’s bring both approaches to Ruby’s at 8:30 AM this Saturday.

God bless!

Eric
